When it refers to the PTFE which is the abbreviation of polytetrafluoroethylene,most of people wouldn't  think of what it really means or what it is.Actually,There is little chances that they are right.

The discovery of PTFE is just an accident which you can benefit from everyday nowadays even if just never heard of it.The common models we use are PTFE open meshes,PTFE wire and so on.Some of us feel very surprised at our ignorance cause we don't down what we are using.Besides,before we start our topic,there is a point we need to keep in mind that the PTFE is in the first place.

The PTFE was accidentally discovered by a scientist when he was trying to make a kind of refrigerant what we called "freon" today.After his research,he found that there is something shouldn't exist in the experiment bottle,it seemed to be a white slippery material.Shortly after that,this kind of chemical substances was named "Teflon" and published.

This new type of material was firstly put into use in the Manhattan Project,in which scientists was engaged in developing the first atomic bomb.
